I'm Ann. A little about me. I have an intensely inquiring mind. I am always on a mission to learn and try something new. I have varied interests, nature, gardening, growing, sharing, art, photography, hiking, biking, cooking, the list goes on.... The picture is of my partner and I. We are lucky in love and living our best life.
I've always been a grower, gardener, farmer, call it what you will. I have had fruit orchards, market gardens, a small lavender farm and business. However, in all of this there was a missing piece. I wasn't coming full circle with my efforts. I wasn't saving seeds. I understand that now and have taken a deep dive into the world of seed saving. I am hooked! In 2020 I attended seed school through Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance. I was enthralled and in awe. It seems so simple to save seeds much like in ancient times. Yet, the majority of our society does not know how or even why they should. I hope to have some hand in changing this perception and help to provide an awareness. I have been involved in creating local garden clubs, seed libraries and educational classes. I am a seed steward, wildcrafter, and a Master Gardener. I am now focusing on creating healthy ecosystems through collecting wild seeds. This will do for now.
Many folks are involved in our projects in various ways, educators, forestry advisors, native plant ecologists, USDA Forest Service, wildland photographers, seed stewards, seed farmers, pollinator supporters, and more! All extremely dedicated interesting folks. We are so grateful to interact with them.
